The InteFrame Process on Residential Projects

In standard residential construction the InteFrame residential process typically starts with Reality Building Design, and then IdahoTruss and SteadFast Framing Co. work together to complete the framing. (For commercial projects and for high-snow load areas, the InteFrame process starts with Performance Engineers.)

The InteFrame residential process will create a market advantage for any type of builder:

  • Production builders can change their product lines more quickly because the learning curve on each new model is shorter and less troublesome. Value engineering is done in the plans instead of in the field.
  • Custom builders can build complex one-off structures fast and cost effectively because of the high degree of advance planning that is built into the InteFrame process - more is learned in the planning phase so fewer hangups are discovered at the jobsite.

Other significant benefits of using the InteFrame process include:

  • Lower material costs due to more efficient design
  • Faster permitting due to fewer issues and faster answers in plan review
  • 25 to 40% less framing time
  • Less jobsite waste removal cost
  • Much lower overhead - the builder's staff doesn't have to manage the linkages between the designer, the lumberyard, the truss company and the framer
