| SUMMARY |
|
Benchmark Construction has been one of the Treasure Valley's premier contractors since 1948. They have successfully completed a good share of the valley's commercial construction in that time period, and have completed many retail, office, industrial and education buildings on time and within budget. Within that time, they have developed a particularly strong cpapbility in design-build construction, specializing in helping their clients get more building value for their money. InteFrame has become a preferred partner, working with Benchmark to deliver this value to its clients by increasing design efficiency, and reducing construcion costs and timelines.

The Challenge
The first project that Benchmark and InteFrame worked on together was the Star City Hall. The task at hand was a 9,200 square foot, 2 floor wood-framed building to be constructed in a tight operating space in downtown Star, Idaho. The building had an elevator shaft, and a combination lower and upper roof structure with parapet walls.
The Solution
Performance Engineers went to work first on the structural engineering for the building. By coordinating effectively with Idaho Truss on location and specification of structural members in the walls and roof, Performance was able to put together a structural system design that took maximum advantage of the building's characteristics. SteadFast Framing took advantage of the upfront coordination and design work and completed the framing work in 14 days.

The Bottom Line
Star City Hall was the first of several projects that Benchmark and InteFrame companies have worked together on. Clayn Sonderegger, owner and president of Benchmark described InteFrame as "A great combination. When issues have come up they have been resolved by the next day."
